Promising Gophers freshman wide receiver Hayden Moore left Saturday's game against Mississippi State early, after suffering a scary-looking leg injury on the first reception of his college career.
Moore opted to enroll at the University of Minnesota early this spring, and he immediately stood out. The three-star wide receiver from Florida was a preseason darling. He was arguably the fourth receiver on the Gophers' depth chart in his first collegiate season, but it now looks like he could be out for the foreseeable future.
Moore's first career reception went for seven yards before suffering the injury. The Gophers have already lost promising freshman running back Ryan Estrada for the season, and Moore's 2026 outlook doesn't look great.

Minnesota will lean on Javon Tracy, Noah Jennings and Jalen Smith at wide receiver with Zion Steptoe and Quayd Hendryx as the top reserves going forward.
