- Raiders news: Raiders are expanding the role of Tre Tucker

The Las Vegas Raiders are looking to end their four-game losing streak. They head to New York to take on the 2-5 Jets, hoping to get their season back on track.
One player who has stepped up in the last two games is Tre Tucker. Tucker has three touchdowns in the last two games and led the team in receiving yards. He now ranks 15th overall in receiving yards and third in the AFC. His role is expanding in the offense with teams focusing on stopping Brock Bowers.
At his Thursday press conference, offensive coordinator Andrew Janocko discussed Tucker's expanding role.
"We're always asking guys to be versatile, and we're always asking guys to maximize what
they do, so that's just overall skill-arching. You're looking at guys that, Tre [Tucker], everybody in that
room. You're just asking them, 'Hey, what else can you do to keep getting better at your craft? That you
can do a different set of skills this week, or emphasize something that maybe you did well, and let's take
it to another level."
Tucker will get another chance on Sunday to improve on his breakout season. If he can continue to produce at a high level a contract extension might be there in the future.
