The Las Vegas Raiders will play their regular-season finale versus the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday. The Raiders would clinch the No. 1 overall selection in the 2026 NFL draft with a loss . John Spytek will then head into a crucial offseason that must determine the fate of head coach Pete Carroll.
We've identified three potential X-factors on the Raiders' defense versus the Chiefs in Week 18.
Lonnie Johnson is one of Vegas' veteran defenders who continues to play hard despite the circumstances. Johnson notched seven tackles in last weekend's blowout defeat to the New York Giants . He's attempting to play himself into a 2026 role in Patrick Graham's defense.
Veteran linebacker Devin White continues to collect tackles in bunches. He had eight takedowns versus the Giants in Week 17, bringing his season-long total to a career-high 168. White is a pending free agent , so his future with the Raiders is in doubt.
Rookie cornerback Darien Porter entered the starting lineup once injuries began taking shape in the secondary. The former Iowa State standout is currently riding the rollercoaster. Sunday's finale versus the Chiefs represents John Spytek's final opportunity to evaluate Porter prior to the offseason.
