Former Los Angeles Rams star has fans hyped about his possible return. And even Rams players are getting involved . Furthermore, Donald teased a comeback to Pat McAfee after the Rams' blockbuster trade for Myles Garrett , according to a post on X by Pat McAfee.
"I reached out to @AaronDonald97 this morning..
According to source(s) it for sure got him thinking. He said he's 35 and he's gotta see if that fire can light back up. Aaron Donald
and Myles Garret playing together with the Rams would be INSANE #PMSLive"
Donald hasn't played since his retirement in 2023. He played for 10 seasons, earning Pro Bowl honors every year. He finished as a three-time AP defensive player of the year. And he had 111 career sacks despite playing defensive tackle.
Is former Rams DT Aaron Donald serious about a comeback?
Everything has to be taken with a grain of salt in the overhyped social media days. There's no gamble to reputation for simply saying Donald "might" return. And so plenty of people are getting on board. One of those was former teammate Michael Brockers , according to the "Locked on Rams" podcast via CBS Sports.
"I would say that I do have some information that might be considered as some knowledge that others might not have, but I'm not going to tell it all," Brockers said. "I will say this: My guy is staying ready so he doesn't have to get ready, and I'm going to leave the audience with that."
Also, Lesean McCoy weighed in on the "Speakeasy" podcast.
"Aaron Donald retires, and now you get Myles Garrett," McCoy said. "You know I sent that text out, 'AD, what we going to do?' He thinking about it."
Furthermore, Donald is staying in shape, as he proved on a recent Instagram post.
Here's the best advice: Wait until it happens. If it does. Then the fun can begin, talking about how good the Rams will be on defense in 2026.
