Myles Garrett will return to practice with the Los Angeles Rams this week, head coach Sean McVay told reporters on Monday. Garrett's 21-day practice window will be opened at some point this week, meaning that the Rams have 21 days from then to either activate him to the 53-man roster or they will have to put him on IR for the rest of the season. If history is any indication, Garrett should be playing with the Rams again within three weeks, and probably sooner.
Garrett has not suited up for L.A. since Week 1's loss to the San Francisco 49ers due to a knee injury. McVay also said that tight end Terrance Ferguson could return to practice this week also.
The Rams traded a first-round pick, Jared Verse, and more to the Cleveland Browns for Garrett in the offseason, but he has yet to record his first sack with L.A.. That could change as soon as this weekend's game against the Washington Commanders. However, it wouldn't be unexpected for the Rams to wait another week after that, or even until L.A. returns from a bye the week after.
The good news is that after almost two months of waiting, Myles Garrett is almost finally back to the field.
