Los Angeles Rams safety Kam Curl called out an NFL list ranking on social media on Thursday.
Curl shared a post on X, appearing to take issue with one of the league's latest player rankings.
"These lists crazy," Curl wrote .
It's unclear what list Curl is referring to, but there could be the ESPN rankings or NFL Top 100 Players list that he is referencing.
ESPN released its annual executive, coaches and scouts' safety rankings ahead of the 2026 season. Curl did not crack the top 10 or even receive any votes.
Another ranking that Curl could be referring to is the NFL Top 100 list. That list is currently at No. 63, and Baltimore Ravens star safety Kyle Hamilton took that spot.
Although Hamilton was named the 63rd-best player heading into the season, he did earn the top spot in the ESPN safety ranking, ahead of safeties like Curl, Derwin James , Xavier McKinney , and Jessie Bates III , to name a few.
Whatever that post was specfically referring to, Curl seems not happy about it.
The 27-year-old is set to enter his third season with the Rams and seventh in the league. Earlier in the offseason, Curl and the Rams agreed to a three-year contract. At the time, the Curl signing was the second biggest move of the offseason.
The biggest move was trading for All-Pro cornerback Trent McDuffie . McDuffie is set to take the Rams' secondary to another level after a disappointing 2025 season on that front.
Curl earned that contract with his solid play last season. In 2025, he was the Rams' second-leading tackler with 122 total tackles, which ranked second among all NFL defensive backs.
The former Arkansas Razorback also caught two interceptions in the regular season and had a clutch pick in the divisional round against the Chicago Bears in overtime. The former seventh-round pick moved around the formation last year, taking 58.6 percent of his snaps at free agency, 26.3percent in the box, and 10.3 percent in the slot.
Curl will look to take another leap in 2026 with a proven safety group alongside him, featuring Quentin Lake, Kam Kinchens and Jaylen McCollough .
The veteran safety has improved every season since arriving in Los Angeles in 2024. He recently credited Rams defensive coordinator Chris Shula, Sean McVay, and the defensive back coaches for allowing him to get better year in and year out.
After four underwhelming seasons with the Washington Commanders , the Rams signed Curl to a two-year, $9 million contract in March 2024. He entered that season as the team's de facto starting safety, and since then, he has cemented that role through his strong development and consistent play.
