The Los Angeles Rams have had a challenging start to the 2026 NFL season. Despite entering the season with sky-high expectations, the Rams are currently 3-4 and in third place in a highly competitive NFC West division. With a softer part of their schedule approaching over the next three weeks, the Rams will hope to generate some momentum heading into their Week 11 bye.
One of the biggest issues for Los Angeles has been injuries in the wide receiver room. Veteran receiver Davante Adams was placed on injured reserve after suffering a ruptured hamstring in Week 6 and is expected to miss six to ten weeks.

Puka Nacua has remained the centerpiece of the Rams' passing game, but he has dealt with injuries of his own. Nacua missed Weeks 2 and 3 with hip/core muscle injuries, and the Rams went 1-1 in the two games he missed.
With Adams sidelined for the foreseeable future, the Rams will have to rely more heavily on their receiver depth over the coming weeks. Players like Jordan Whittington, Konata Mumpfield, and Tutu Atwell will likely see larger workloads as the Rams fight to stay in the division race.
Unfortunately, the Rams received another concerning update in their receiver room on Friday. According to Sarah Barshop of ESPN, head coach Sean McVay said Jordan Whittington's back "locked up," leaving him questionable for Sunday's game.
Whittington has caught just two passes this season, but his availability is still important for a team that is already stretched thin at wide receiver. Whittington also brings familiarity with the offense, as he is in his third season with the Rams since being drafted in the sixth round in 2024.
If Whittington is unable to play Sunday against the Los Angeles Chargers, Tutu Atwell and rookie receiver C.J. Daniels could see increased snap counts.
