- Ranking The 30 Best 3-Point Shooters For The 2026-27 NBA Season

Almost every NBA player shoots threes now, but that doesn't mean every player is a shooter. There is a clear difference between a guy who makes one open corner three thanks to a star's gravity and someone who can change an entire defense just by standing behind the line.
This ranking is mainly based on the 2025-26 season. Percentage is important, but it isn't the only number here. Total makes, attempts per game, games played, and the type of shots each player takes also count. Making 42.0% on seven attempts per game is obviously different from hitting the same percentage on only two attempts.

Career numbers are included because one hot season can happen to almost anybody. Still, last season gets the biggest weight, which is why a few famous shooters dropped while younger names such as Kon Knueppel , AJ Green , Cam Spencer , and Julian Champagnie moved way up.
This also isn't a list of the best stars who can make threes. Luka Doncic , Anthony Edwards , Kyrie Irving , and LaMelo Ball take harder shots than most players here, but shooting isn't their entire identity. This list is more about the specialists' defenses that can never be left alone, even for one second.
These are the 30 best three-point shooters entering the 2026-27 NBA season.
30. Jordan Hawkins
Career 3-Point Stats: 34.8% 3PT, 1.5 3PM
Advertisement
The 2025-26 season was pretty rough for Jordan Hawkins, who played 51 games but averaged only 13.6 minutes, 5.1 points, and 0.9 made threes on 2.6 attempts. He finished at 34.8% from deep, which isn't good enough for a player whose biggest NBA skill is supposed to be shooting.
There is still a reason to keep him at No. 30. Hawkins made 1.6 threes per game on 36.6% as a rookie, then raised his volume to 2.0 makes on 5.9 attempts in 2024-25. The percentage that year was only 33.1%, but he was taking much harder shots and already had a 34-point NBA game. The talent is there, but 2026-27 needs to be much better.
That next chance may come away from the Pelicans. Marc Stein and Jake Fischer reported that New Orleans has explored Hawkins' trade market, with the Grizzlies among the teams showing interest. A move could finally give him the steady minutes he didn't get last season and help decide whether his shooting can still turn him into a long-term NBA scorer.
29. Kevin Huerter
Career 3-Point Stats: 36.8% 3PT, 2.0 3PM
Advertisement
Nothing went right for Kevin Huerter from three last season. He averaged 1.4 makes on 4.7 attempts and shot only 30.8% across 69 games with the Bulls and Pistons, while his scoring dropped to 10.0 points per game.
His spot here is based more on what he showed in the early stages of his career. During the 2022-23 season, Huerter made 2.7 threes per game on 40.2%, playing 75 games and helping the Kings build one of the NBA's best offenses. He can still run around screens and shoot very quickly, but another season close to 30.0% would probably knock him off this list.
The Pistons still believe Huerter can get his jumper back, giving him a new three-year, $27.0 million contract this summer. That deal gives him some security after a horrible shooting season, but it also adds pressure because Detroit clearly expects something closer to the 40.2% shooter he was with the Kings.
28. Aaron Nesmith
Career 3-Point Stats: 38.3% 3PT, 1.3 3PM
Advertisement
A bigger scoring role didn't destroy Aaron Nesmith's efficiency in 2025-26. He averaged a career-high 13.8 points and still made 37.9% from three, although injuries limited him to only 45 games.
The better news is that his situation should look completely improved next season. The Pacers won only 19 games without Tyrese Haliburton , but he is coming back, and Ivica Zubac gives them a very good center next to Pascal Siakam . This team is super deep again , and I honestly see them as a sleeper to make another long playoff run with Nesmith playing a key, efficient role.
27. Gary Trent Jr.
Career 3-Point Stats: 38.7% 3PT, 2.4 3PM
Advertisement
Last season wasn't close to Gary Trent Jr .'s best. He averaged 8.1 points and made 1.9 threes on 5.3 attempts, finishing at 36.0% across 65 appearances. That percentage was acceptable, but the smaller role and poor overall shooting hurt his value.
The 2024-25 season showed the version of Trent that still belongs on this list. He hit 41.6% from three that year while making 2.4 shots on 5.9 attempts, and his career numbers remain strong after eight seasons. Trent doesn't need the ball for long and is always ready to fire, but he now needs a bounce-back year to stay in the top 30.
The Bucks surprisingly gave him a fully guaranteed four-year, $64.0 million contract after his bad season. The NBA is now investigating the deal for possible salary-cap circumvention and a prior agreement between the two sides, making his contract one of the strangest stories of the offseason.
26. Corey Kispert
Career 3-Point Stats: 38.0% 3PT, 1.9 3PM
Advertisement
A midseason trade and smaller minutes made 2025-26 a strange season for Corey Kispert. He averaged 9.2 points, 1.5 made threes and 4.1 attempts across 58 games, shooting 36.7% while playing only 18.6 minutes per night.
Kispert was better before the trade, hitting 39.5% in his final stretch with the Wizards, and he has now shot 38.0% across five seasons. He isn't only a corner player either, since he can run ahead in transition or move into open space after giving up the ball. The smaller role lowered his numbers, but the shooting still looks useful.
25. Desmond Bane
Career 3-Point Stats: 40.7% 3PT, 2.5 3PM
Advertisement
The raw three-point volume wasn't huge in Desmond Bane's first Magic season, but the efficiency was still good. He played all 82 games, averaged 20.1 points and made 2.0 threes on 5.2 attempts while shooting 39.1%.
Bane stays this high because his full career sample is elite. He has made 40.7% from deep across six seasons, and his shots aren't all wide-open attempts created by somebody else. He can pull up, shoot after a screen, or hit from several feet behind the line. Last season wasn't his hottest, but it also wasn't bad at all.
24. Grayson Allen
Career 3-Point Stats: 40.3% 3PT, 2.2 3PM
Advertisement
Grayson Allen took way more threes than ever in 2025-26, but his percentage dropped hard. He averaged a career-high 16.5 points and made 3.1 threes on 8.9 attempts, yet only 34.9% of those shots went in across 51 games.
That looks more like one bad year than a complete collapse. Allen led the NBA at 46.1% in 2023-24 and followed it with 42.6% in 2024-25, so he had two straight elite seasons before last year's drop. He even had a 42-point game with 10 threes in 2025-26. A little less volume could quickly bring the percentage back up now that he's with the Hornets after the Miles Bridges trade .
23. Buddy Hield
Career 3-Point Stats: 39.5% 3PT, 2.9 3PM
Advertisement
The 2025-26 version of Buddy Hield wasn't the one NBA fans remember. He played only 16.1 minutes per game, averaged 7.6 points and made 1.5 threes on 4.2 attempts while shooting 34.9% across 51 appearances.
His career keeps him in the ranking. Hield has made almost three threes per game for nine seasons, and in 2022-23, he hit 3.6 per night on 42.5% across 80 games. That peak isn't coming back, but more than 2,200 career threes can't be ignored either. He has dropped a lot, just not enough to disappear completely.
22. Cam Johnson
Career 3-Point Stats: 39.3% 3PT, 2.2 3PM
One of the best percentage seasons on this list came from Cam Johnson , who finished 2025-26 at 43.0% from three. That placed him among the league leaders and was even better than his already strong 39.3% career mark.
Johnson also has a major advantage because he is 6-foot-8. Normal closeouts don't bother him as much, and he can shoot from the corners, above the break or after running the floor in transition. His volume wasn't close to Knueppel or Green, but 43.0% from a tall wing is still a nightmare for defenses.
21. Payton Pritchard
Career 3-Point Stats: 38.4% 3PT, 1.8 3PM
Payton Pritchard's role grew significantly in 2025-26 as a starter for the Celtics , and his three-point numbers jumped with it. He made 212 threes in 79 games, averaging 2.7 makes on 7.1 attempts while shooting 37.7%. He also finished with 17.0 points and 5.2 assists per game.
The percentage wasn't elite, but Pritchard doesn't live on simple corner shots. He pulls up in transition, shoots from several feet behind the line and isn't scared to fire early in the clock. If he can get back near 40.0% without losing that volume, he could jump close to the top 15 next season.
20. Royce O'Neale
Career 3-Point Stats: 38.8% 3PT, 1.7 3PM
Royce O'Neale isn't a flashy name, but his 2025-26 numbers were impossible to ignore. He made 212 threes on 520 attempts, shot 40.8%, and averaged 2.7 makes across 78 games.
Most of his shots were created by teammates, and he isn't going to run around five screens or hit many crazy pull-ups. Still, making more than 200 threes at above 40.0% is elite production. O'Neale did exactly what the Suns asked from him, and he did it much better than several more famous shooters.
19. Klay Thompson
Career 3-Point Stats: 41.0% 3PT, 3.1 3PM
Even with a very small role, Klay Thompson still made 202 threes in 69 games. He averaged 2.9 makes on 7.6 attempts while shooting 38.3%, and more than 72.0% of all his field-goal attempts came from behind the line.
That means Klay was still putting up huge shooting volume while playing only 21.7 minutes per game. He obviously isn't the same player who once scored 60 points in 29 minutes, but defenders still can't leave him alone. His career average of 3.1 threes on 41.0% remains one of the best ever.
Klay's future also feels away from the Mavericks. Barry Jackson reported that the Heat view him as a top target if Dallas agrees to a buyout , while the Lakers have also been linked to him and Thompson is reportedly open to returning to Los Angeles . A smaller role on a contender could be exactly what he needs at this stage.

18. Sam Hauser
Career 3-Point Stats: 41.2% 3PT, 2.0 3PM
Basically, everything Sam Hauser did on offense came from three last season. He took 504 attempts from deep out of only 601 total field-goal attempts, making 198 threes while shooting 39.3% in 78 games.
The funny part is that 39.3% was actually below his normal level. Hauser has hit around 42.0% for his career, so a normal bounce-back could leave him above 200 makes and 40.0% next season. He doesn't add many fancy things, but that isn't why the Celtics put him on the court.
17. Trey Murphy III
Career 3-Point Stats: 38.2% 3PT, 2.7 3PM
Only 66 games were enough for Trey Murphy III to make 214 threes. He averaged 3.2 makes on 8.6 attempts, shot 37.9%, and scored 21.5 points per game while carrying a large offensive role for the Pelicans.
Murphy's breakout also made him one of the hottest names of the offseason. Marc Stein reported that trade interest remained intense , with the Pistons and Pacers among the teams calling, while Sam Amick also linked the Celtics to him . The Pelicans haven't been shopping him, but after averaging 21.5 points with 214 threes, contenders clearly see him as a perfect final piece.
Over 82 games at the same pace, Murphy would've finished close to 265 makes. The percentage wasn't amazing, but the volume was huge, and many of his attempts came from well behind the line or with defenders already focused on him. At 6-foot-8, his best shooting season might still be ahead.
16. Donte DiVincenzo
Career 3-Point Stats: 37.3% 3PT, 2.1 3PM
Advertisement
Only five NBA players made more threes than Donte DiVincenzo in 2025-26. He played all 82 games and finished with 244 makes on 644 attempts, giving him 3.0 threes per game on 37.9%.
DiVincenzo isn't the most accurate player here, but he never stops shooting. He takes pull-ups, transition threes, and deep attempts that many role players would pass up. Making 244 threes without being the main scorer on his team is a crazy total, even if the percentage keeps him outside the top ten.
The bad news is that DiVincenzo ruptured his right Achilles during the playoffs and underwent surgery in April, leaving him out indefinitely. He had made 11 of 22 threes through the first three games against the Nuggets before getting hurt, so the injury ended a very good run at the worst possible time. His return date is still unclear entering 2026-27.
15. Reed Sheppard
Career 3-Point Stats: 39.2% 3PT, 2.1 3PM
Advertisement
Reed Sheppard needed only 26.2 minutes per game to finish ninth in the NBA with 227 made threes. He shot 39.4% on 576 attempts and averaged 2.8 makes while playing all 82 games for the Rockets.
The per-minute numbers are the best part. Sheppard made 3.9 threes per 36 minutes and still hasn't received the type of role some players above him have. His range already goes several feet past the line, and his release is super quick. With more minutes, 250 makes doesn't sound crazy at all.
14. Tim Hardaway Jr.
Career 3-Point Stats: 36.2% 3PT, 2.1 3PM
Tim Hardaway Jr. had one of the hottest shooting seasons of his career in 2025-26. He made 224 threes, shot 40.7% on 550 attempts, and averaged 2.8 makes while playing only 26.6 minutes per night for the Nuggets.
The career percentage of 36.2% makes it fair to expect some drop next season. Still, this ranking needs to reward what happened last year, and 224 makes at above 40.0% is better than what most famous shooters produced. Playing next to Nikola Jokic clearly helped, but Hardaway still had to make the shots.
Now, Hardaway should have an even bigger role with the Heat next to Giannis and Bam, since Miami badly needed more shooting around them . He signed a one-year, $6.5 million deal, and he should immediately become one of their main floor spacers.
13. Collin Gillespie
Career 3-Point Stats: 39.7% 3PT, 1.4 3PM
Advertisement
Collin Gillespie went from a small-role guard to one of the NBA's highest-volume shooters. He made 232 threes in 80 games, averaging 2.9 makes on 7.2 attempts while shooting 40.1%.
That wasn't just a few good weeks, either. Gillespie kept the numbers going across almost the full season while also averaging 12.7 points and 4.6 assists. One more year like that will make his spot completely safe, but 232 makes at above 40.0% already gives him a better case than most players outside the top ten.
That breakout is exactly why the Suns decided to keep him on a fully guaranteed four-year, $48.0 million contract. After making a franchise-record 232 threes and shooting 40.1%, Phoenix clearly sees him as a long-term piece next to Devin Booker instead of just another short-term role player.
12. Cam Spencer
Career 3-Point Stats: 43.8% 3PT, 1.7 3PM
Advertisement
Only 325 attempts were needed for Cam Spencer to make 146 threes because he hit an insane 44.9% last season. He averaged 2.0 makes in only 23.8 minutes and also put up 11.1 points and 5.6 assists for the Grizzlies.
Spencer has now made 43.8% from three through his first 97 NBA games, while his 94.8% free-throw percentage makes the touch look even more believable. He doesn't have the huge volume of the top five yet, but nearly 45.0% on more than 300 attempts is already too good to ignore.
He may look like a surprise this high, but the jump was already coming. He made 19 threes in only 25 games as a rookie while playing 10.1 minutes per night, which equals around 2.7 made threes per 36 minutes. Then he jumped to 44.9% on 4.5 attempts in 23.8 minutes last season. With the Grizzlies rebuilding after the Ja Morant trade, Spencer should get even more shots and could post another crazy year.
11. Sam Merrill
Career 3-Point Stats: 39.7% 3PT, 2.1 3PM
Advertisement
Sam Merrill played only 52 games, but his shooting numbers were crazy whenever he was available. He averaged 3.0 makes on 7.2 attempts and shot 42.1%, while scoring 12.8 points in only 26.5 minutes.
At the same pace over 82 games, Merrill would've made around 249 threes. That would've placed him close to the top five in the entire NBA. Missing 30 games is the only reason he stays outside the top ten, because seven-plus attempts at better than 42.0% is a ridiculous combination.
10. Julian Champagnie
Career 3-Point Stats: 37.5% 3PT, 2.0 3PM
The numbers were much louder than Julian Champagnie's name last season. He played all 82 games, made 195 threes and shot 38.1% on 512 attempts, giving the Spurs 2.4 makes per game in only 27.6 minutes.
He already proved his shooting worked in the playoffs, averaging 11.2 points and 5.7 rebounds while hitting 39.6% from three across 23 games as the Spurs reached the NBA Finals. Now, with Tobias Harris joining on a two-year, $31.0 million deal, San Antonio should have even more scoring and spacing around him.
Champagnie also broke the Spurs' single-game record by making 11 threes in one night. His career percentage isn't as high as the top specialists, but availability is a skill, too, and he gave the Spurs nearly 200 makes without missing one game. I wouldn't be surprised if he enters the top ten next year.
9. Duncan Robinson
Career 3-Point Stats: 40.0% 3PT, 2.8 3PM
Another big shooting year gave Duncan Robinson 220 made threes in 77 games. He finished at 41.0% on 536 attempts, averaged 2.9 makes, and posted a 62.9% true shooting percentage for the Pistons.
Robinson also doesn't need to stand in one place and wait. He can run around screens, take quick shots after a handoff, or move into another open spot after passing the ball. His career numbers now sit at 2.8 makes on 40.0%, and very few specialists have held that level for this long.
8. Nickeil Alexander-Walker
Career 3-Point Stats: 37.2% 3PT, 1.8 3PM
Nickeil Alexander-Walker had one of the most unexpected shooting seasons in the NBA. He finished fourth with 251 made threes, shot 39.9% on 629 attempts, and averaged 3.2 makes while scoring 20.8 points per game for the Hawks.
His career mark of 37.6% makes some drop possible, but 629 attempts are already a massive sample. Teams knew he wanted to shoot, and he still came within 0.1% of hitting 40.0%. That is way too much production to treat as a random lucky season.
That huge season ended with NAW winning the 2025-26 Most Improved Player award after jumping from 9.4 to 20.8 points per game. He also set career highs in 3P%, assists, rebounds, and steals, so this wasn't only one random shooting run; it was the year he became one of the Hawks' main players .
7. Michael Porter Jr.
Career 3-Point Stats: 39.8% 3PT, 2.6 3PM
A much larger role changed Michael Porter Jr .'s numbers after he joined the Nets. He averaged a career-high 3.4 threes on 9.3 attempts, but his percentage dropped to 36.3% while he scored 24.2 points across 52 games.
That drop makes sense because Porter went from playing around Nikola Jokic to being defended like a first option. His career percentage is still 39.8%, and he previously had seasons at 44.5% and 41.4%. At 6-foot-10, most normal contests don't bother him much, so 3.4 makes per game still carries a lot of value.
Porter now enters the final year of his contract at $40.8 million, which makes his future pretty interesting. After averaging career highs in points and rebounds, he has already become one of the biggest possible trade targets entering the season, and the Nets could either pay him or move him while his value is this high.
6. Isaiah Joe
Career 3-Point Stats: 40.6% 3PT, 2.0 3PM
Isaiah Joe hit 42.3% from three while taking six attempts per game in 2025-26. He made 181 shots across 71 appearances, averaged 2.5 makes in only 21.2 minutes, and finished with a 65.7% true shooting percentage.
Those numbers aren't new either. Joe has now shot at least 40.9% in four straight seasons, and his career mark sits at 40.6% through nearly 400 games. His total makes would look much higher with 30 minutes per night, and a bigger role could finally show how good he actually is.
Now with the Pistons after being traded by the Thunder for two future second-round picks, I'm still expecting Joe to be great. Detroit won 60 games last season and already has Cade Cunningham creating open shots, so adding a career 40.6% shooter to that team feels almost unfair.
5. AJ Green
Career 3-Point Stats: 42.0% 3PT, 2.1 3PM
AJ Green had the perfect mix of volume and accuracy in 2025-26. He made 232 threes, shot 41.9% on 554 attempts, and averaged 3.0 makes while playing 78 games for the Bucks.
Almost 90.0% of his field-goal attempts came from three, so every defense knew exactly what he wanted to do. It still didn't help. Green even finished the season with a 35-point game where he made 11 of 16 threes, and his career mark is now 42.0%. He isn't just a random bench shooter anymore.
4. Jamal Murray
Career 3-Point Stats: 39.0% 3PT, 2.2 3PM
Jamal Murray had the best shooting season of his career and one of the best in the entire league. He made 245 threes, shot 43.5% on 563 attempts, and averaged 3.3 makes while also putting up 25.4 points and 7.1 assists.
The difficulty makes those numbers even crazier. Murray wasn't only standing open next to Jokic, because he also took pull-ups, shots late in the clock, and contested attempts against switches. He finished fifth in total makes and near the top in percentage, which is an absurd mix for a player handling the ball this much.
3. Kon Knueppel
Career 3-Point Stats: 42.5% 3PT, 3.4 3PM
No NBA player made more threes than Kon Knueppel in 2025-26. The Hornets rookie finished with 273 makes, shot 42.5% on 642 attempts, and averaged 3.4 threes across 81 games.
He also scored 18.5 points per game and completely destroyed the previous rookie record of 206 made threes. Knueppel was the only player in the league to make at least 250 while shooting above 40.0%, which already looks like an all-time shooting season. One year of NBA experience is the only thing holding him behind the top two.
Knueppel will have even more offensive responsibility after the Hornets traded LaMelo this summer. That also means more defensive attention and probably fewer easy shots, but after leading the NBA as a rookie, Charlotte clearly has to start treating him like its new main offensive player.
2. Luke Kennard
Career 3-Point Stats: 44.2% 3PT, 1.9 3PM
Almost half of Luke Kennard's threes went in last season. He led the NBA at 47.8%, making 117 of his 245 attempts while playing 78 games between the Hawks and Lakers .
The volume was lower than Curry, Knueppel, or Green, but 47.8% is still completely crazy. Kennard also owns a 44.2% career mark, one of the highest in NBA history, and even hit 47.4% during the playoffs. This wasn't a random hot year. He has basically spent his whole career making open threes feel automatic.
After leading the NBA in 3P% while splitting last season between the Hawks and Lakers, Kennard signed a two-year, $13.0 million deal with the Suns , including a player option. With Devin Booker, Jalen Green, Miles Bridges , and Dillon Brooks around him, Phoenix has quietly built a very deep team that could be a sleeper in the West.
1. Stephen Curry
Career 3-Point Stats: 42.2% 3PT, 4.0 3PM
Injuries limited Stephen Curry to 43 games, but nobody matched his per-game shooting numbers. He led the NBA with 4.4 made threes on 11.3 attempts, shot 39.3% and averaged 26.6 points in only 30.9 minutes.
At the same pace over 82 games, Curry would've finished around 360 makes, almost 90 more than Knueppel's league-leading total. The percentage was below his normal standard, but his career combination of 42.2% and four made threes per game still has no comparison. Until somebody matches his volume, range, and efficiency for several years, No. 1 isn't really open.
Curry and the Warriors reportedly have mutual interest in an extension once he becomes eligible in late August, so he will probably stay in Golden State. Still, the Warriors badly disappointed him this summer , adding no outside veteran free agents and completing no major trade after a 37-45 season , leaving Curry to carry another limited roster at 38 years old.
