The Baltimore Ravens needed a bounce-back after a 36-10 loss at the Buffalo Bills last Sunday. Offensive line coach Dwayne Ledford entered Thursday night with his unit under heavy scrutiny and a rookie starting at quarterback. Prime Video cameras soon showed how the night was going for Baltimore against the Jacksonville Jaguars. One sideline moment said more than the scoreboard ever could.
Dwayne Ledford vents on sideline as Ravens offense stalls against Jaguars
Prime Video cameras caught Ravens offensive line coach Dwayne Ledford in a heated moment on the sideline Thursday night. ESPN's post read, "Ravens offensive line coach Dwayne Ledford is not happy". The clip showed him shouting at his players as Baltimore trailed the Jaguars.
The frustration was easy to understand. Jacksonville built a 10-3 lead after the first quarter and stretched it to 17-3 by halftime. The Jaguars led 20-3 through three quarters before closing with a 33-10 win.

The Ravens ran for 172 yards, but one 65-yard touchdown run with about seven minutes left padded that total. The passing game never found a rhythm.
With Lamar Jackson and Tyler Huntley both on injured reserve, rookie Joe Fagnano made his first NFL start. He completed 10 of 18 passes for 60 yards and threw two interceptions. Tight end Mark Andrews also fumbled a snap on a fourth-down attempt in the third quarter, and Baltimore committed four false starts. Baltimore finished with 227 total yards and three turnovers.
The sideline outburst also fits a bigger problem Ledford has been trying to fix for weeks.
Ledford has been working through Ravens offensive line problems all season
Ledford has spent the season trying to keep this group stable. The unit has been a question mark since center Tyler Linderbaum left for the Raiders in free agency. The Ravens used eight different five-man line combinations through the first six weeks, according to SumerSports data cited by The Baltimore Banner. Only the Patriots used more.
Baltimore added center Cam Jurgens in an Oct. 7 trade after Jovaughn Gwyn and Ethan Pocic landed on injured reserve. Jurgens earned the team's top offensive grade against Jacksonville, per Pro Football Focus.
The coach often talks about learning through film study. He said previously, "there is so much growth that we can take from that film session." Now the Ravens need that growth to show up on the field.
The Ravens fell to 4-5 and have lost four straight, though they added quarterback Jacoby Brissett in a trade. They host the winless Chargers (0-7) on Monday Night Football on Nov. 16, while the 6-2 Jaguars lead the AFC South.
