- Ravens QB Tyler Huntley is out for the season with turf toe injury
The Baltimore Ravens' quarterback situation has taken another devastating turn, with Tyler Huntley reportedly out for the remainder of the 2026 NFL season after suffering a significant turf toe injury in Sunday's loss to the Buffalo Bills .
ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Wednesday that further testing revealed Huntley suffered a season-ending injury. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport subsequently reported that Huntley is scheduled to undergo surgery to repair the injury, ending his season and beginning what is expected to be an extended rehabilitation process.

The news leaves Baltimore without its top two quarterbacks, with Lamar Jackson also sidelined indefinitely after suffering a right thumb injury in Sunday's 36-10 loss to Buffalo. Jackson is headed to injured reserve and needs surgery, while Huntley's injury removes another experienced option from a quarterback room that has changed significantly in less than a week.
Ravens lose another quarterback after disastrous Bills game
Huntley suffered the injury during the second quarter against Buffalo, forcing the Ravens to turn to undrafted rookie Joe Fagnano. Jackson had already exited after injuring his throwing thumb on Baltimore's first offensive snap, leaving the Ravens without either of their two most experienced quarterbacks before halftime.

Fagnano finished the game completing 10 of 21 passes for 91 yards with an interception. He also fumbled as Baltimore struggled to generate consistent offense against the Bills.
The injuries have created an extraordinary situation for head coach Jesse Minter and offensive coordinator Declan Doyle, who must prepare for Thursday night's matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars without their preferred options at the NFL's most important position.
Huntley's loss is particularly significant because of his familiarity with Baltimore's offense and experience stepping into the starting lineup when Jackson has been unavailable.
Joe Fagnano set to start against Jacksonville
Minter announced Tuesday that Fagnano will make his first NFL start against Jacksonville at M&T Bank Stadium. The former UConn quarterback will become the second undrafted rookie quarterback in Ravens franchise history to start a game, joining Anthony Brown, who started against Cincinnati in 2022.

Baltimore has also added Kedon Slovis to its active roster after signing him from the Green Bay Packers' practice squad. Austin Reed has joined the Ravens' practice squad, giving the organization additional options as it navigates its injury problems. Fagnano is dealing with an ankle injury suffered against Buffalo, although he has continued preparing for Thursday's game.
Baltimore enters Week 9 with a 4-4 record after three consecutive losses, making the timing of the injuries especially damaging. With Jackson's return uncertain and Huntley now finished for the season, the Ravens will need their inexperienced quarterback group to keep the offense competitive.
For a team still trying to remain in the AFC playoff race, Huntley's season-ending injury represents another major obstacle in an increasingly difficult season.
