The Baltimore Ravens will have no choice but to completely overhaul their quarterback room in the middle of the 2026 season.
During this past Sunday's game against the Buffalo Bills, it was sadly revealed that Lamar Jackson suffered a thumb injury. The two-time MVP was placed on injured reserve and will undergo surgery that could knock him out for the rest of the season.
"It's tough," Ravens coach Jesse Minter said. "When it happened, I think at the time, you're just hoping that maybe it's something small, and then I think pretty quickly kind of realized what had happened."
To make matters worse for the Ravens, they also lost backup quarterback Tyler "Snoop" Huntley to a serious injury this past Sunday.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the tests for Huntley revealed that he suffered a season-ending turf toe injury.
"Ravens QB Lamar Jackson is out indefinitely with a thumb injury, Huntley's season is over due to turf toe, and QB Joe Fagnano will start Thursday night vs. Jacksonville," Schefter said.
Who is Joe Fagnano?
With Huntley and Jackson sidelined for most likely the rest of the season, Fagnano is set to start this Thursday against the Jacksonville Jaguars. He's only the second undrafted rookie quarterback to ever start for Baltimore.
"It's special," Fagnano said. "It's really the only way I can think about it."
Fagnano started off his college career as a walk-on at Maine before eventually transferring to UConn in 2023. He finished his time at UConn with 5,252 yards, 48 touchdowns and only six interceptions.
As for his production in the NFL, Fagnano completed 10 of 21 pass attempts for 91 yards with an interception in relief duty in Week 8.
Who knows? Maybe we'll see a special performance from Fagnano this Thursday against the Jaguars.
