Trent Alexander-Arnold's career has taken a sharp downturn since his move to Real Madrid in the summer of 2025.
The Englishman's first season in the Spanish capital was marred by injuries and a lack of game-time, with the player also struggling to make an impact his limited opportunities.
It has been more or less the same case in the second season, with Trent falling behind in the pecking order.
According to journalist Rodra P (h/t Defensa Central ), Trent is now considering a return to England following a difficult integration at Real Madrid.

It appears the former Liverpool star is not happy with things at Real Madrid, having featured in just 345 minutes of competitive action so far this season – almost playing a secondary role .
He has fallen behind Denzel Dumfries and most recently, Federico Valverde in the pecking order, with coach Jose Mourinho preferring the Uruguayan international in the right-back position.
This hasn't gone down well with Trent, although Rodra notes that the Englishman is not ready to throw in the towel just yet.
For now, the player wants to keep fighting for his place in the starting eleven and not cause any havoc in the dressing room by putting in a transfer request.

Should Trent strongly start to consider the possibility of returning to England, however, the player will have no shortage of suitors.
Rodra reveals that Chelsea and Manchester United are both interested in the services of the former Liverpool right-back.
However, it won't be easy for these clubs to snap up Trent, who is on a long-term contract with Real Madrid, thus giving the Spanish club the leverege to hold out for a considerable sum.
The right-back's high salary package at the Santiago Bernabeu could also prove to be a problem for his suitors.
That is why there is no immediate movement, with respect to Trent's future. But things could get interesting if the defender continues to trail behind in the pecking order at Real Madrid.
