Roman Anthony , Marcelo Mayer and Kristian Campbell are no longer considered prospects, but the Red Sox still had four players on Baseball America’s latest Top 100 list.
Pitcher Payton Tolle (17), infielder Franklin Arias (49), pitcher Connelly Early (52) and pitcher Kyson Witherspoon (69) all were featured in the latest rankings released Wednesday.
Both Tolle and Early made their MLB debuts for Boston last season after a myriad of injuries to the Red Sox ’ rotation.
Tolle began 2025 in High-A Greenville. Six months later, the left-hander appeared in a postseason game against the New York Yankees . He’ll work to earn a spot in Boston’s rotation in 2026.
Early was with the Portland Sea Dogs in Double-A to begin 2025. He was promoted to Triple-A Worcester before he made his MLB debut in September.
The lefty tied a Red Sox franchise record by striking out 11 batters in his first career game.
Like Tolle, Early will go into spring training trying to make the Opening Day roster.
Arias signed with the Sox for $525,000 in 2023. He was promoted to Double-A Portland last year after strong stints with Low-A Salem and High-A Greenville.
In 10 games for the Sea Dogs, Arias hit two home runs and batted .261 with a .685 OPS.
In 116 total games across the three leagues, the 20-year-old amassed a .278 batting average with eight home runs, 66 RBI and a .723 OPS.
Witherspoon was drafted by the Red Sox in the first round of the 2025 MLB Draft. He posted a 10-4 record with a 2.65 ERA, 1.01 WHIP, 124 strikeouts and 23 walks in 16 starts with Oklahoma.
In 2025, Baseball America tabbed Witherspoon as one of 12 prospects to make his MLB debut in 2026.
