The Denver Broncos are taking a look at two players from the United Football League.
The Broncos are bringing in Houston Gamblers running back Marcus Yarns and wide receiver/returner Jalen Moreno-Cropper for workouts, according to UFL insider Michael Del Negro.
Yarns (5-11, 193 pounds) rushed for 1,783 and 21 touchdowns in his final two seasons at Delaware from 2023-2024 before signing with the New Orleans Saints as an undrafted free agent in 2025. He was cut by the Saints last summer and was picked up by the Gamblers in the 2026 UFL draft in January. Yarns led the UFL with an average of 5.7 yards per carry this spring, rushing 61 times for 345 yards and one touchdown in nine games.
Moreno-Cropper (6-0, 172 pounds) entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent out of Fresno State with the Dallas Cowboys in 2023. He spent the majority of the last three seasons on the Cowboys' practice squad. After his contract with Dallas expired, Moreno-Cropper joined the Gamblers in February. He returned five kickoffs for 213 yards and one touchdown in seven games this spring while adding 22 receptions for 291 yards on offense.
The Broncos have signed at least one spring football league player in each of the last four offseasons. We'll see if that trend continues in the coming weeks as the UFL season wraps up.
