After Kristaps Porzingis stepped away from the Golden State Warriors due to health concerns, the franchise has explored the trade market, looking to include his contract in a potential deal. Considering Golden State's need for another big man in his absence, the Warriors have been linked to a couple of potential replacements according to NBA insiders.
Beginning with Milwaukee Bucks center Myles Turner, Golden State isn't as interested in the 12-year veteran as they once were. According to NBA insider Jake Fischer, the Warriors are unwilling to take on Turner's $26 million average annual salary through the 2028-2029 season without other incentives.
However, Fischer notes that the Warriors have contacted the Bulls about a potential deal regarding Jalen Smith, who is earning $9.4 million with Chicago on the final year of a three-year contract. In seven games for the Bulls, Smith has averaged career-high scoring numbers as a starter, tallying 12.1 points, 8.6 rebounds, two assists, 0.4 steals and 0.9 blocks in 24.7 minutes per game.
