In reviewing some of the seasonal data surrounding Colorado Rockies players, it's become quite evident just what a whale of a season Hunter Goodman put together.
Sure, Goodman earned another All-Star selection to the National League All-Star Team in 2026, yet his contributions were effective throughout the Rockies' lineup.

When looking ahead to next season, don't be surprised if Goodman is surrounded by a strong group of other players that can position themselves in a good run-scoring position.
Goodman's numbers fantastic for Rockies
Let's do a bit of a deep dive into these statistics, courtesy of the Rockies' media department. Goodman finished his fourth big-league season with a slash line of .245/.310/.529 and an OPS of .839. But wait, there's more.
Goodman connected for 41 home runs , 88 RBIs, and 20 doubles as he played in 138 games for Colorado. Among all qualified hitters in the majors, Goodman finished in fourth place in slugging percentage and was tied for sixth in home runs.

Among catchers, he led the majors with a minimum of 50 percent of games at catcher in home runs and total bases with 274. Besides that, Goodman also ranked second in extra-base hits with 63 and was third in RBIs with his 88.
In the entire Rockies franchise history books, Goodman became the ninth player, for the 15th time, to hit that magical 40-home run level. He tied Nolan Arenado, who hit 41 homers in 2019, for the seventh most in the club history.
Goodman became the eighth catcher, 10th time overall, to put up at least 40 home runs in a major-league season. He became just the sixth catcher in National League history to do it as well.
No doubt Goodman is team's go-to slugger
How much as he cemented himself as the Rockies' go-to slugger? Goodman became just the fifth NL primary catcher since the 1996 season to be the team leader in home runs in back-to-back seasons. The most recent person to do it was Brian McCann, when he was with the Braves, between 2008-10.

With that All-Star appearance, Goodman became the first Rockie to get back-to-back appearances since 2019. At that time, Arenado (2015-19), Charlie Blackmon (2017-19), and Trevor Story (2018-19) popped up in consecutive All-Star games.
Behind the plate, Goodman had a good eye when it came to ABS challenges. He proved to be a winner in 77 of his 113 ABS challenges in 2026. That got his errant pitchers out of some jams at times, too.
Goodman had a knack for really playing well behind the plate. Of course, Goodman had to handle that pitching staff, which wasn't always an easy thing to do this season.
Still, Rockies president of baseball operations Paul DePodesta and general manager Josh Byrnes know that they have a center piece for their roster. Building around Goodman and giving him extra RBI opportunities will be one of their many challenges to handle before next season.
I'd expect Goodman to come out and do his best to elevate his play behind the plate as well as in the batter's box.
