Talk of an Everton return for Tottenham forward Richarlison in January is refusing to go away.
Everton tried to sign the Brazil international in the summer and appeared close to doing so.
Richarlison ultimately decided against the move and has since been completely shut out at Tottenham.
The 29-year-old has tried to release himself from the final year of his contract in order to seek a free transfer elsewhere.
That has not happened, but the January transfer window presents another opportunity for a team to come in for Richarlison.
Everton's interest in Richarlison has gone quiet of late, but they appear to still be right in the hunt for his signature.
What's the latest on Richarlison's Tottenham future?
Richarlison has not been named in Tottenham's Premier League squad, with his only action coming on the opening day prior to the squad lists being locked in.
The Brazilian forward is a fan favourite at Everton following his previous stint at Goodison Park.
David Moyes has previously hailed Richarlison as a "really good player and someone I like".
The Scotsman could do with all the help he can get in attack, so a deal for Richarlison in January would be welcome, even if not for the long term.
ESPN Brasil journalist Bruno Andrade has now reported , as relayed by Sport Witness , that Everton and Fulham are two Premier League teams interested in Richarlison ahead of the window reopening on January 1.
However, the same journalist shares that neither side would be willing to pay Richarlison's current salary.
That is not the case for Turkish duo Galatasaray and Trabzonspor, with the Super Lig sides both making promises of lucrative contracts.
Everton cannot be blamed for not wanting to bow to Richarlison's wage demands, so a move to Turkey looks to be the most likely option.
Hull City boss Sergej Jakirovic responds to Everton job question as compo terms laid out If not Richarlison, then who for Everton?
It is not surprising that Everton have been linked with a fair few strikers pre-January.
Palmeiras striker Vitor Roque has been linked with Everton - and he seems a more exciting Brazilian talent than Richarlison at this stage of his career.
Minnesota United's Kelvin Yeboah is also said to be on Everton's radar , as is Jean-Philippe Mateta.
Supporters are simply desperate to get one new striker in who can provide competition and support for the overused Thierno Barry.
Unfortunately, it does not look like Richarlison will be that man.
