Roma maintain best defensive record in Europe
No one in Europe has conceded fewer goals than Roma.
Before last night, the Giallorossi were joined by Cagliari, but the incredible 4-0 defeat against Monza has sent the Sardinians plummeting in the standings.

Mancini and his teammates have conceded only three goals: two against Inter and one against Atalanta.
In the top five European leagues, Lazio and Borussia Dortmund are hot on Roma's heels with four. Their defensive solidity hasn't diminished even after Svilar's injury.
Gollini has already kept two clean sheets in Serie A against Como and Genoa. Gasperini calls his defenders 'gladiators', and he's right. Hermoso, for example, is third in Serie A for interceptions per game (2.4).
Ndicka is eighth for defensive closures per game (5.8). After a difficult start to the season, Mancini is returning to his best form, and this year Balerdi and Koulierakis have joined him.

The Argentine is already a key player and a true all-rounder. He can play in all three positions in the three-man defense, and tonight against Slovan he'll lead the defense. Ghilardi is getting less time, but as the matchdays go by, he'll also get more minutes. The Giallorossi wall continues to impress.
