Roman Anthony's home run for Team USA against Mexico on Monday night put him in the World Baseball Classic history books.
The Red Sox outfielder launched a slider 417 feet into the right field seats. The ball left the bat at 105.5 mph and helped lift USA to a 5-3 win in Pool B play.

The home run made Anthony the youngest player to ever homer for Team USA in the World Baseball Classic at 21 years, 300 days, according to MLB's Sarah Langs .
No other Team USA player has done it before turning 25.
"It's amazing just getting to be around those guys and getting that opportunity to be around the game's best and be around so many veteran guys who have done it for such a long time," Anthony said in February about playing in the WBC for the first time . "That will be a great learning experience for me. But at the same time understanding there's a goal that we have to try and come out on top."
Anthony made his long-awaited call-up to the majors last summer. His debut season was cut short after he suffered an oblique injury, but he came to spring training ready to go.
The 21-year-old is expected to be a big power bat for Boston after the team failed to sign one in the offseason. He'll also likely share the outfield and designated hitter spot with Jarren Duran .
