The 49ers are fortunate to have plenty of NFL stars on their roster.
And just as fans might be awestruck by meeting their favorite players, rookies might have a similar reaction to facing off against an all-time great in training camp.

Though 2026 NFL Draft third-round pick Romello Height wasn't too nervous for his first practice rep, he admitted to being amazed when he matched up for the first time against 12-time Pro Bowl selection Trent Williams.
"My first rep out there, you know, I had to — it wasn't really like a big thing to me," Height told reporters after Saturday's training camp practice. "It was like, I'd already been in this position … being able to go against guys like Trent. Of course, we didn't have on pads and or anything, but man, you know, just lining up in front of guys like him and taking my first rep against a guy like him was a big deal. And it was kind of, you know, like shocking, but I had to put my finger in the dirt and get off the ball."
It's hard to blame Height for feeling that way, but 49ers Faithful must love to hear that he still remembered the basics: get a hand on the ground and go. If he can do that against Williams, he likely won't be phased at all about facing any other elite NFL linemen.
Of course, it also doesn't hurt to get in plenty of practice against arguably the best offensive tackle ever .
