- Rumor Opens Door for KC Chiefs To Trade up in Round 2 for Denzel Boston
A new rumor suggests the Kansas City Chiefs will have the opportunity to move up in Round 2 of the NFL Draft and get the talented wide receiver they didn’t select in Round 1.
The Chiefs were busy on Thursday night. They entered the night with not one, but two picks in Round 1. Selections No. 9 and 29, respectively. However, they were aggressive early and actually moved up three spots in a trade with the Cleveland Browns . However, it wasn’t to go after an offensive lineman or a stud receiver. Instead, they drafted Trent McDuffie’s replacement in LSU cornerback Mansoor Delane.

Then, at 29, they went defense again when they used their pick on Clemson tackle Peter Woods. Going heavy on defense with their first two picks surprised some. Especially since Patrick Mahomes needs more weapons in the passing game, with Travis Kelce likely to retire after this season. Well, that opportunity might come early on Friday night in Round 2.

The trio of teams has the first picks on Friday at 33, 34, and 35. Washington receiver Denzel Boston is among the best players still available . He has a very good starting burst, nice speed, is impressive in winning the jump ball and contested pass battle, and is a problem in the red zone. Skills the Chiefs would love to have next season.
It will be interesting to see if they look to move up again, this time from their pick at 40, and go after the impact pass catcher they didn’t in the opening round.
