The New Orleans Saints have struggled a bit this season offensively, even though Tyler Shough and Chris Olave have continued to find immense success, and Devaughn Vele has been a great secondary option.
Part of the issue has been the running game, but the Saints are also notably playing without No. 8 overall pick Jordyn Tyson. He's been on injured reserve all season with a hamstring injury. But his return is coming up very soon.
In fact, according to Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football , Tyson is returning to practice for the Saints on Wednesday, coming out of the bye week. That is some huge news, as it's a first step towards the rookie WR making his NFL debut.
Jordyn Tyson takes big first step towards NFL debut with practice report
"Jordyn Tyson is returning to practice today, per source," Underhill reported Wednesday morning ahead of Week 9.
The Saints are currently 2-5, sitting at the bottom of the NFC South. But they are only 1.0 game back of the 3-4 Carolina Panthers in the division.
Despite how poorly things have gone for Kellen Moore and the Saints, they still have a real chance to win the division. That starts in Week 9 when the Saints face off against the Cleveland Browns .
The Saints might be getting a few key players back, with Travis Etienne Jr. a name to monitor at practice this week. But this report from Underhill reveals Tyson, at the very least, is back in action for the Saints.

This doesn't mean he will play in Week 9, as he might still need to take some time to get back up to speed with the offense.
His practice window, which lasts 21 days, is going to be opened, and he'll have that time to work his way back.
Playing in Week 9 might be a little bit of a stretch for Tyson, but it can't be ruled out just yet either. The fact that he's set to practice on Wednesday before Week 9 is a great sign.
If nothing else, regardless of his status for the Browns game, Tyson is taking a huge first step towards making his NFL debut.
The first-round rookie WR is closing in on his first NFL snaps, as this update points to a return for Tyson in the near future.
