- Sal Frelick reveals Brewers fans are already holding him to his 100,000-beer promise
Sal Frelick's joke about buying "100,000 beers" for fans during the Milwaukee Brewers ' World Series parade appears to have caught on with Wisconsin supporters. Since the team won the championship last Wednesday, celebrations have continued across the organization. Frelick said some fans have even approached him as early as 9 a.m. while he was having breakfast to offer him beers, seemingly holding him to his playful promise.
"After the parade, I was just out at breakfast the next morning getting a coffee, and I probably had 20 people come up to me and just give me a beer," remarked the Brewers right-fielder via Barstool Sports on X (formerly Twitter).
"They're like, 'We want to help.' I'm like, 'Oh'… People just have it on them. Like where do you guys… It's 9 AM, they just, like, take it out of their back pocket."

At 26, Frelick played an important role in Milwaukee's championship run . He delivered steady defense in the outfield and contributed offensively with a .235/.341/.353 slash line, one home run and three stolen bases. Though he may not be among the Brewers' biggest stars, Frelick brings plenty of enthusiasm and energy to the club.

Frelick has also earned a special place among Brewers fans. His promise to provide 100,000 beers may have been made in jest, but his popularity in Milwaukee could mean he will rarely have to buy one himself. Supporters are unlikely to forget the role he played in delivering the franchise's first World Series championship in 2026.
