Price returned to practice this week after missing four games on injured reserve with his chest injury. The Seahawks had not yet made the roster move entering the weekend, but Seattle officially activated him Monday ahead of the matchup with Chicago.

The timing could not be much better for Seattle. Price was effective before his injury and now gives the Seahawks another option to help improve their running game.

His return also comes alongside the expected season debut of Zach Charbonnet, who is returning from a torn ACL. Seattle will therefore have significantly more depth in the backfield than it has had for much of the season.

Seahawks get important boost before NFC showdown

The Seahawks have struggled to run the football consistently this season, making Price's return particularly important. Adding him back into the offense gives Seattle another player capable of contributing on the ground as the team prepares for a major Monday night matchup.

Price was Seattle's first-round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft and had missed four games after being placed on injured reserve with a chest injury. He returned to practice Thursday and progressed throughout the week before ultimately being activated Monday.

Now, Seattle gets its rookie running back back just in time for a matchup with Chicago. With Price returning and Charbonnet also expected to be available, the Seahawks enter Monday Night Football with a much deeper running back group than they have had recently.

For a team looking to get more out of its rushing attack, getting Price back at this point in the season is a major boost.
