It's only June, a few days before the NHL draft, but already there are signs of the upcoming season approaching. That includes preseason information released Tuesday by the Pittsburgh Penguins .
The team released its four-game 2026-27 preseason schedule, and confirmed its participation in the 2026 Prospect Tournament.
The preseason slate starts with two home games on back-to-back nights, Sept. 21 against the Buffalo Sabres and Sept. 22 against the Detroit Red Wings . The other two preseason games are on the road, Sept. 24 in Columbus against the Blue Jackets and Sept. 26 against the Sabres in Buffalo.
All four games will have radio coverage on 105.9 The X. Times and television information will be released later.
Before those games, and presumably just before training camp opens, the Penguins will send a contingent to the 2026 Prospect Tournament. That will be Sept. 11-14 in Detroit. The roster and schedule for that will also be released later.
