The North Carolina Tar Heels were able to escape Ohio State on Saturday afternoon thanks to a late bucket by Henri Veesaar and a stop on the defensive end. The 71-70 win moved them to 12-1 on the yea r but it was also a game UNC was dangerously close to losing.
Despite leading by 11 with over 11 minutes left, the Tar Heels got cold from the field and let the Buckeyes stay in the game. It took a late stretch of a Seth Trimble bucket, a steal, a Henri Veesaar bucket and a defensive stop to get it done.
However, a win is a win and North Carolina will take it.
Following the game, UNC fans and college basketball fans reacted to the game as it came down to the final seconds.
