Dustin May, right-handed pitcher

Stats:7-9, 4.70 earned run average in 31 starts, 144 strikeouts in 145 ⅔ innings, 1.318 WHIP (walks and hits per inning pitched), 14 homers, 50 walks

Age:29

Experience:Seven MLB seasons

Playoff experience:Nine games. Six earned runs in 14 innings (3.86 ERA)

Last appearance:Sept. 26 vs. St. Louis Cardinals (2 runs on 3 hits and 1 walk in 3 innings)

Vs. Padres in 2026:Allowed 3 earned runs across 3 starts and 22 innings; threw a shutout against the Padres while with the Cardinals

Of note:May's best start after coming over to the Brewers at the trade deadline was at Petco Park in August, when he went seven innings with one run allowed.

Quotable:"It's not the easiest, but I definitely attribute a lot to the coaching staff trying to still work with me and figure some stuff out. We've kind of nailed some things in this last week or so. Hopefully, stuff comes to a little bit of better fruition [Tuesday]."

Nick Pivetta, right-handed pitcher

Last appearance:Sept. 30 vs. Chicago Cubs (1 run on 3 hits and 2 walks in 3 ⅓ innings).

Vs. Brewers in 2026:Did not face the Brewers.

Of note:Pivetta missed four months with a right elbow flexor strain and allowed only three runs over four starts (18 ⅔ innings) upon returning in September.

Quotable:"I'm not going to talk about game plans at all. Just going to go out and pitch [Tuesday] right now."
