Amid a flurry of roster transactions , one Pittsburgh Steelers move has flown under the radar: the release of a promising offensive lineman.
On Thursday, the Steelers announced the release of offensive lineman Aiden Williams , along with long snapper Cal Adomitis , to make room for the signings of defensive backs Daryl Porter and Joaquin Davis.
A two-time Second-Team All-NSIC selection, Williams was a pivotal member of Minnesota Duluth's offensive rushing attack, one that led the NSIC and ranked seventh nationally in 2023.
Williams, who signed with the Steelers as an undrafted free agent following the 2025 NFL Draft, was waived by Pittsburgh amid final roster cuts and re-signed to the team's practice squad. The Steelers waived him once again on September 3, 2025.
After a short stint with the Carolina Panthers ' practice squad during his rookie season, Williams managed to secure a reserve/future contract with the Steelers in January 2026.
