🏈 Mike Tomlin was at the Georgia-Arkansas men's basketball game in Athens on Saturday night.
Tomlin was also seen at a Georgia gymnastics meet against LSU on Friday night, watching his daughter, Harley , take on LSU in Athens. It was Tomlin's first time in the public eye since stepping down as the Pittsburgh Steelers head coach on Tuesday.
🏈 Tom Brady weighed in on a potential Aaron Rodgers retirement on The Herd with Colin Cowherd.
🏈 Broncos head coach Sean Payton revealed that quarterback Bo Nix fractured a bone in his right ankle and will miss the remainder of the season.
"We felt like it'd be best to just tell everyone now," Payton said after Denver 's 33-30 overtime win against the Buffalo Bills .
🏈 Sean Payton is hosting a conference championship game coaching a team whose highest-paid player is Russell Wilson ($32 million dead charge).
🏈 The Baltimore Ravens announced on Saturday that they've completed their virtual interview with Chris Shula for their head coach position. The Steelers had a virtual interview with Shula on Friday.
🏈 The Bills had two controversial calls against them in Saturday's Divisional Round loss to Denver.
On third-and-11 in overtime at their own 36, Josh Allen threw a deep to Brandin Cooks , who caught the pass, hit the ground, and was touched down. The officials thought otherwise, however, ruling that Broncos cornerback Ja'Quan McMillian emerged from the tackle with the ball and intercepted it.
The Bills would've had the ball at the Denver 20. All they needed was a field goal from Matt Prater to win the game.
In addition to the controversial McMillan interception, Tre'Davious White was called for a questionable defensive pass interference call on the ensuing drive, which set up Wil Lut'z game-winning 23-yard field goal.
🏈 Bills head coach Sean McDermott called out the officials on the interception call in overtime.
"It's hard for me to understand why it was ruled the way it was ruled," McDermott said at the podium. "If it is ruled that way, then why wasn't it slowed down just to make sure that we have this right. That would have made a lot of sense to me. … Because that's a pivotal play in the game. [We'd] have the ball at the 20 and may be kicking a game-winning field goal right there. So I'll just leave it at that.
"But I'm saying it because I'm standing up for Buffalo, damn it. I'm standing up for us. Because what went on is not how it should go down, in my estimation. These guys spend three hours out there playing football, pouring their guts out. To not even say, 'Hey, let's just slow this thing down. That's why I'm bothered."
