The Pittsburgh Steelers have already added to their cornerback room this week, agreeing to terms with now-former Tampa Bay Buccaneers coverman Jamel Dean . They've had their eye on upgrading at the position through the 2026 NFL Draft, as well, it looks like.
According to The Athletic's Mike DeFabo , the Steelers hosted Washington cornerback Ephesians Prysock for a pre-draft visit last week. Prysock is the Steelers' second known pre-draft visitor, after Miami offensive tackle Markel Bell took a trip to the Steel City last week, too.
Prysock was named an All-Big Ten honorable mention last season after starting all 13 games for the Huskies. Prysock totaled 48 tackles — fifth-most on the team — and had an interception and seven pass breakups, as well.
"Prysock is a tall corner with impressive length but a high center of gravity that limits transitions," NFL Draft anaylst Lance Zierlein wrote in scouting report. "He's upright in his pedal and can be late at break points in off coverage. He stays more connected when he can press and displays good acceleration/make-up speed when needed. His traits and field awareness fit well with short zone/shell coverages."
Pro Football Focus gave Prysock a 77.1 overall grade last season, which ranked 142nd out of 897 cornerbacks. Prysock ranked 180th with a 75.8 coverage grade.
As of now, the Steelers' top cornerbacks include budding star Joey Porter Jr. , Asante Samuel Jr. , Dean and slot corner Brandin Echols .
