Pittsburgh Steelers running back Jaylen Warren has had a 2026 season to remember thus far.
Pittsburgh Steelers running back Jaylen Warren has had a very impressive start to his 2026 campaign, and that continued in the team's Week 8 win over the Cleveland Browns.
Through the first eight weeks of the season, Warren has officially done something that hasn't been done in the past 10 years.
According to Kyle Borgognoni of the Fantasy Footballers , Warren's 6.9 yards per touch is the highest of any running back over the last decade through first eight games of a season.

Warren rushed for 143 yards and a touchdown against the Browns, bringing his yearly total to 704 rushing yards and two touchdowns.
It has been quite the impressive streak for Warren and is, without a doubt, one of the main reasons the Steelers now sit atop the AFC North with a 6-2 record heading into their Week 9 bye.

Only time will tell if Warren will be able to continue this type of production for the rest of the season. But if he is, he could certainly further etch himself into the history books and maybe even earn some hardware.
Former Steelers quarterback Russell Wilson already thinks Warren has a shot to be the 2026 NFL Offensive Player of the Year.
"When you have a running back like Jaylen Warren that catches the ball in the flat, he's a bowling ball," Wilson said on his Set, Hut! podcast . "He's not gonna be tackled on the first attempt. … Jaylen Warren's one of those guys that could win Offensive Player of the Year, in my opinion."
That would be quite the accomplishment for an undrafted free agent out of the 2022 NFL Draft. Warren has rushed for 3,336 yards and 14 touchdowns in his career.
