Duke defensive tackle Josiah Green met with the Pittsburgh Steelers along with several other NFL teams at his pro day last month, according to Justin Melo of Sports Illustrated.
Green turned heads at his pro day, recording a 4.43 shuttle, 1.65 10-yard split, 7.43 3-cone, which would've ranked first among DTs at the Combine. His 34″ vert and 9'6″ broad would've ranked second.
Green also posted a program-record 36 bench press reps. Green was second in quick pressures last season among draft-eligible DTs, according to Pro Football Focus.
Green played one season (2025) at Duke after being a four-year member and three-year letterman at Dartmouth. He was an unanimous All-Ivy selection in 2024 and a second-team pick in 2023.
Green was the recipient of Duke's Hard Hitter Award in 2025 . He started all 14 games, recording 37 tackles, seven tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, three pass breakups and two quarterback pressures.
In 44 career games in college (34 starts), Green registered 157 tackles, 27.0 tackles for loss, 8.0 sacks, one fumble recovery, five pass breakups and six quarterback pressures.
Green, who's an Indianapolis native, graduated from Dartmouth in December 2024 with a degree in anthropology.
Green is projected to be a mid-to-late round selection in the 2026 NFL Draft .
The Steelers could use another defensive lineman with Cam Heyward turning 37 in May. Last year, the Steelers spent a first-round draft pick on defensive lineman Derrick Harmon and a fourth-round pick on Yahya Black . They also signed Sebastian Joseph-Day in free agency last month.
2023 third-round pick Keeanu Benton is also entering his fourth season. Green could be a fifth defensive lineman option for the Steelers in 2026.
