The father of Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver DK Metcalf is making his return to the football field.
The Pittsburgh Steelers love football bloodlines and it seems they have yet another example in wide receiver DK Metcalf .
Metcalf's father, Terrence Metcalf , has been named the assistant offensive coach, offensive line assistant, and personnel assistant for the University of Mississippi.
Terrence Metcalf played a large role in developing DK Metcalf into the player he is today, and it started when he was playing in the NFL himself.
"When my kids first came down to training camp and them getting to experience the entire NFL family experience, I think that was the first fond memory of him being able to run out on the field and see me after so many weeks of being away from home," Terrence Metcalf said. "The excitement just to see daddy again was one of my fondest moments."

Those memories stuck with DK Metcalf and began to fuel his fire to make it to the NFL just like his father.
"Just the every day grind of having to get up, even when you don't want to," DK Metcalf said. "Those conversations (we had), he knows exactly what I'm going through, so just to have someone to share those moments with, I think, it makes me feel better. Because I'm not constantly thinking or bearing so much weight that this game causes."
It's safe to say Terrence Metcalf was successful as DK Metcalf has since churned out seven NFL seasons in which he has recorded 497 catches for 7,174 yards and 54 touchdowns while being named to two Pro Bowls.
DK Metcalf isn't the only player on Terrence Metcalf's resume, either. He has also served as the head coach and offensive line coach for Coahoma and assistant head coach, co-offensive coordinator and offensive line coach for Pearl River.
Ole Miss is certainly a step up in the coaching ranks for Terrence Metcalf, and he may just meet his son back in the NFL someday soon.
