Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker did not hold back on the officiating after Game 2 of their first-round series against the Oklahoma City Thunder at Paycom Center on Wednesday.
The Suns lost, 120-107, to go down 2-0 in the best-of-seven matchup.
Booker, who was called for a technical foul in the third quarter, chewed out the referees in the postgame conference, saying the NBA should take a look at them.
"People are going to start viewing this as the WWE if they're not held responsible," claimed Booker.
Suns coach Jordan Ott also addressed the technical foul on Booker.
"We don't get an explanation. They (referees) just move on so fast. I thought the ball was near the sidelines," said Ott.
Booker noted that he also did not receive an explanation for it.
He was trying to dribble past the defense when Jaylin Williams bumped him and was whistled for a personal foul. Booker lost his balance and saved the ball before going out of bounds. He, however, was called for a technical foul, which left even the broadcast team confused.
He finished with 22 points on 7-of-14 shooting, seven rebounds, four assists, and five turnovers.
Dillon Brooks , who also blasted the officiating, had 30 points, including five three-pointers, and six rebounds, while Jalen Green contributed 21 points, five rebounds, and three assists. He had seven turnovers.
The Suns tried to rally in the fourth quarter, but the defending champions held on to secure the win.
As of writing, the NBA has yet to comment on the technical foul on Booker.
Game 3 is in Phoenix on Saturday.
