The Brewers ' ace Jacob Misiorowski is making rounds all over the internet after accidentally striking Rockies batter Tyler Freeman in the head with a 98 mph heater. Furious with this incident, fans have slammed Misiorowski by sharing harsh comments online.
The incident took place on June 6, 2026, during the bottom of the sixth inning of the game between the Milwaukee Brewers and Colorado Rockies at Coors Field. During the pitch, a high-velocity, 98.2 mph cutter got away from Misiorowski, hitting Freeman directly on the ear flap of his batting helmet. The latter crumpled to the ground, and the Brewers' catcher, Williams Contreras, immediately assisted him while Misiorowski looked worried.
Freeman was conscious after the hit and was mouthing, 'I'm fine,' to the trainers. He was pulled from the game for his own safety, and he walked off the field on his own power. A video of this dangerous moment quickly went viral on X with the tweet:
"Jacob Misiorowski loses control of a pitch and it connects with a helmet."
This garnered a lot of attention from the fans who took a dig at Jacob Misiorowski for the incident. Highlighting his skills, one of the fans wrote :
"Dude has no control of his stuff. Thrower, not a pitcher. Disaster waiting to happen."
Urging to suspend him, another follower wrote :
"Suspend him."
Another user on X wrote that speed is only what Misiorowski has left.
"He has been losing control for a few games now not surprised his speed is the only thing he has."
Along similar lines, a few other fans chimed in :
"That could have been so much worse."
"Why would he throw that pitch? That pitch is BANNED. He need to do 36 weekends in the county jail for throwing that pitch," another fan wrote.
Jacob Misiorowski delivered a dominant performance in May 2026, cementing himself as one of the most elite arms in Major League Baseball. He took his team to first place in the NL Central by posting a microscopic 0.23 ERA and 0.52 WHIP across six starts. In May he became the first player in recorded history to throw 50 pitches at 100+ mph in a single MLB game.
On May 31, Misiorowski spoke to the media, where he was asked how he would describe his performance in May. Responding to this, he said :
"Yeah, it was pretty good. I mean, I haven't looked at all the numbers and such, so I couldn't tell you exactly what I did, so, but it felt good, felt like a pretty decent month," said Jacob Misiorowski.
He further spoke about his 0.23 ERA, stating:
"I mean, that's decent. No, that's pretty good. But no, I mean, again, I can't look at it, can't really focus on that, cause as soon as you do, it goes haywire."
