Just how much will the College Football Playoff committee respect the Big 12 this season?
BYU, Utah, and Texas Tech are the three stars, but Arizona is hovering just outside after losing to the Red Raiders and suffering an early loss to the Cougars. However, if the Wildcats win out – they still have to play Utah – 10-2 gets them into the Big 12 Championship discussion and possibly an at-large spot in the College Football Playoff.
TCU is merely fighting for bowl eligibility, needing to win two of its last four games, but this begins a brutal November after getting a much-needed 22-16 win over Kansas last week.

Why TCU Will Win
The defense has been terrific. The offensive shift has been a problem – the Horned Frogs aren't nearly as explosive now – but the defense is the best in the Big 12 overall. It's the best on third downs, it's only allowing 14 points per game, and it should give Arizona's passing game fits.
The Hroned Frogs have been solid at stuffing the run. Arizona spent most of its time throwing against Texas Tech, but it only finished with 12 rushing yards on 30 carries, and it was held to under 100 yards in the other loss to BYU.
Why Arizona Will Win
You beat this Arizona team with lots of offense, and TCU doesn't have that.
Texas Tech and BYU were able to keep things moving against the Wildcats, with the Red Raiders running wild and the Cougars throwing for over 300 yards. TCU's ground game is struggling to get going, and the passing attack has been way too erratic.
It will take at least 24 points for the Horned Frogs to win this – if their defense does the job – but they've only been able to pass that against Arkansas State and Grambling. Arizona can play a little D, too.
TCU vs Arizona Prediction, Betting Lines
It'll be a grind, but Arizona will get a few early scores, and TCU won't be able to keep up.
The Arizona defense has allowed 24 points or fewer against everyone but BYU, Texas Tech, and in the 52-31 win over West Virginia. It'll keep the TCU offense from taking over when it has its chances.
