Quarterbacks, Jim Knowles defense in spring spotlight
Tennessee carries big questions at quarterback, but it should have some answers before spring practice starts.
Joey Aguilar , the 2025 starter, sued the NCAA in hopes of extending his eligibility and play in 2026. He is expected to have a resolution before spring practice.
If Aguilar regains his eligibility, he'll be the starter. If he remains ineligible, redshirt freshman George MacIntyre , five-star freshman Faizon Brandon and Colorado transfer Ryan Staub will compete for the starting job in the 2026 season.
