- Will Terrance Ferguson pick up where he left off for Rams?
Will Terrance Ferguson be able to make a big impact for the Los Angeles Rams when he comes off of Injured Reserve? The expectation is that Ferguson will be back after his IR time, but will he be back in full force? Or, will Ferguson continue to adjust at the NFL level?
Before Ferguson was placed on Injured Reserve, he had a bit of the breakout game against the New York Giants with a touchdown reception and some big time catch and runs. He also had a few drops, so you could see the room for improvement.

Then, in Week 3, Ferguson was hurt seriously enough that he could not finish for the Los Angeles Rams against the Denver Broncos. He was then placed on a 4-Week Injured Reserve stint.
Ferguson has shown the upside of why the Rams drafted him a couple years ago, he also hasn't dominated in a way that says the Rams really got a "steal" when they selected him. This second-year player's career and development have been interesting to watch with moments of awe, and moments of seeing why he wasn't taken at the tippy top of his draft class.
The Rams are hoping Ferguson can come back and make a difference. They are likely hoping the same for Myles Garrett too. Hope and reality don't always mesh, but in this case, they just might for the Rams.
Well, that's the hope.

Rams TE Terrance Ferguson will be 'ready to go' after 4-week IR stint (ramswire)
"The Los Angeles Rams lost one of their top playmakers in Week 3 when tight end Terrance Ferguson suffered an ankle injury against the Denver Broncos . He was ruled out for Week 4 and subsequently placed on injured reserve , forcing him to miss a minimum of four games.
That means the absolute earliest he'll be able to return is Week 8 when the Rams host the Chargers at SoFi Stadium.
Sean McVay gave an encouraging update on Ferguson's timeline during the " Coach McVay Show " Monday, saying he'll be "ready to go" after four weeks."

Xavier Smith signs with Rams rival after being cut (ramswire)
"The Rams surprisingly cut Smith last Friday after he endured some early-season struggles on special teams, replacing him with Alex Bachman on punt and kickoff returns. The 49ers are banged up at wide receiver, especially after Dante Pettis injured his calf, so Smith could potentially help them on offense.
He's the latest wide receiver to join the 49ers after a stint with the Rams. Demarcus Robinson signed with the 49ers last offseason after the Rams let him walk, and Brandin Cooks signed to their practice squad this season."

Pro Picks: Rams will edge the Bills on Monday night in potential Super Bowl preview (sports.yahoo)
"Buffalo must fix its turnover issues after seven giveaways in the past two games. It'll be a challenge for the Bills facing a tough Rams defense that's still missing Myles Garrett. Aaron Donald and cornerback Jaylen Watson could return for this one.
Puka Nacua was back last week and had a big day catching passes from Stafford.
The Rams are 2 ½-point favorites. They're just 4-6 against the spread in their past 10 games, but Pro Picks likes the home team in a close one."

Multiple Doctors Believe Rams WR Puka Nacua Is at Risk of Re-Injury (si.com)
"The question becomes whether the rest has allowed the weakness/strain in the affected area of the hip/groin to improve sufficiently to prevent a hernia from developing," said Florio. "If it ever does, there's only one way to fix it."
The one way to fix it would be surgery, and the Rams will hope it doesn't come to that point. A typical recovery from a hernia surgery would be 4-6 weeks and Nacua would almost certainly land on injured reserve if that were to be the case. After resting Nacua for the past two weeks, the Rams are banking on that helping the issue long-term.
However, there is some risk with Nacua, especially with his physical style of play. Toward the end of training camp, Nacua was h eld out due to a psoas injury in his groin. Following the Rams' Week 1 loss to the 49ers, Nacua felt discomfort during the following week of practice and didn't return until last week.."

"The Bills announced Wednesday in a newsletter that they will be wearing their all-white uniform when they visit the Los Angeles Rams in Week 5. That game is scheduled to start at 8:15 p.m. Monday.
Buffalo has worn its classic uniform — white helmet, blue jersey, white pants — twice this season, most recently during a Week 4 home loss against the New England Patriots. The team also wore its Nickel City uniforms during a Week 3 home win against the Los Angeles Chargers. "

Howie Long reveals what Sean McVay must do to save Rams' season (sports.yahoo)
"Long said that he was a "bit disappointed last week," and wants to see more production on third-down situations.
"They don't have a closer on third down, really a real closer — just a guy who throws the fear of God into you," Long said. "And I think that impacts them."
McVay is only 40 years old but might be one of the most experienced coaches in the NFL, as he's in the middle of his 10th season coaching in the NFL."

Sean McVay gives update on 2 linemen who are now eligible to come off IR (ramswire)
"Sean McVay shared an update on both players during his appearance on the "Coach McVay Show" Monday, saying that
"That's something that fortunately, we've been able to stay healthy up front," McVay said. "Those are guys that we're counting on that are going to be big-time depth guys for us. What does that really look like? Anytime you bring somebody back, usually there's a coinciding move. Now, we've had some injuries where sometimes those things have a way of working themselves out, so we'll look at that and that's something that I'll visit with Reggie and our group this week."
Rams Get Bad News About $100 Million Super Bowl Champion (heavy.com)
"While it may have already essentially been off the table, the Los Angeles Rams have now officially missed out on another opportunity to reunite with Odell Beckham Jr. At least, in the sense that they can no longer add him on a trial basis via their practice squad.

"BREAKING: Odell Beckham Jr. is signing with the #Vikings, per sources," The Schultz Report's Jordan Schultz reported on X on October 7.
There are noteworthy Rams ties for Beckham in Minnesota."
Comment of the Day:
"I've warmed to the Simpson pick, I think he looked good in preseason and he can move when needed. Added mobility, a rarity in recent Rams QBs. Can't tell for sure until he eventually takes over the QB reigns. Ask yourself though, if you had to pick between Simpson, Manning or Chamblis who would you take?" -LaRams&NyMets
