The player was Jamal Haynes, an undrafted rookie running back out of Georgia Tech. Haynes took the handoff, cut through traffic, and shed multiple Eagles defenders before sprinting the rest of the way to the end zone.
He finished the night with seven carries for 78 yards, capping Cincinnati's 3-0 undefeated preseason run.

Haynes broke down the play afterward.

Head coach Zac Taylor praised the fourth-quarter push from his depth players across the board."And when did they come?" Taylor said. "They come in the fourth quarter when you've got the lead and are able to grind it out and you hit some big ones."
Fans reacted with a mix of excitement and disbelief.
"Either that was a fluke or… if it wasn't, the Bengals may have a hidden gem,"one fan wrote.
Another leaned into the comparison outright.
"That legit had a Barry Sanders vibe to it,"they wrote."I understand it's not against a real NFL defense but still."
A third fan simply identified him by his college roots, writing,"That boy from Georgia Tech, lol."

Standing just 5-foot-7, Haynes entered Friday's game with only one carry across Cincinnati's first two preseason contests.
He's fighting an uphill battle for a roster spot behindChase Brown, withTahj Brooksand Kentrel Bullock also competing for depth reps in a crowded backfield. Bullock actually outgained Haynes on the night with 85 yards of his own, adding a touchdown of his own in the same game.
Cincinnati's roster has produced several unlikely preseason storylines this summer, including receiver Dohnte Meyers, a former DoorDash driver whoworked his way into meaningful repsafter a stint in the CFL.
