Breiden Fehoko retired from the NFL less than a year ago, and he is now taking aim at the people who officiate the game. In a stunning rant, the former Los Angeles Chargers DT accused NFL officials of steering games during his playing days.
He added that the same happens in college football and claimed that the league threatened to take away his pension after he spoke out about it. However, Fehoko stopped short of offering any evidence supporting either allegation.

Breiden Fehoko Accuses Officials of 'Rigging Games'
Fehoko minced no words in his post
: "I won't even be quiet about it no more. When I played in the NFL, we all knew officials were rigging games in certain ways. It happens at the college ranks. Last year, when I put the NFL on blast about it, they threatened to pull my pension. [Expletive] em. The world deserves to know."
The post names no game, official, or league employee, though Fehoko posted those words during a disputed finish in Provo, Utah, where No. 8 BYU beat No. 2 Notre Dame 28-24 when Notre Dame's final pass, toward Jaden Greathouse, drew no pass-interference flag.
Notably, the league and its officials have dismissed rigging talk before. In February 2025, addressing the perception that officials favored the Chiefs, Commissioner Roger Goodell said, "It's a ridiculous theory for anyone who might take it seriously."

Scott Green, executive director of the NFL Referees Association, followed with a statement rejecting the idea that officiating crews were colluding to help one team.

However, Fehoko has played at both levels he is talking about. He was part of LSU's 2019 national championship team, went undrafted in 2020, and spent three years with the Los Angeles Chargers, making four starts and recording 36 tackles. He signed with Pittsburgh ahead of the 2023 season but never appeared in a game for the Steelers.
After Pittsburgh brought him back on Aug. 2, 2025, and cut him on Aug. 18, Fehoko announced his retirement on Nov. 21.

Saturday's post wasn't his first shot at college officials this season. In early September, Michigan beat Western Michigan 13-12 after a clock review left one second for one last Michigan throw at the end zone. Fehoko wrote: "If you don't believe sports are rigged, the officials just rigged the Michigan game in their favor. Shouldn't have been a play."
Fehoko's post doesn't say who in the league threatened his pension or how. But it has already kicked up a storm.
