Having barely avoided relegation in the Premier League, Roberto De Zerbi now has massive expectations on his shoulders.
With Spurs willing to spend big money this transfer window, some will need to prove themselves.
In recent seasons, the Lilywhites have had many passengers in their squad who have failed to pull their own weight.
The game against the Bees will be a chance for some to establish themselves as key players under the Italian manager going forward.
Why Antonin Kinsky still has a point to prove at Tottenham
Antonin Kinsky has impressed at Tottenham during pre-season and looks set to be the number one for the 2026-27 campaign.

The Czechia international has been able to somewhat redeem himself after the disastrous performance against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League.
While De Zerbi relied on the 23-year-old towards the end of last season in the Premier League, he registered a goals prevented tally of -0.54 in seven appearances, as per Sofascore .
The Italian manager may have faith in Kinsky, but fans still aren't completely on board with the idea of having him as the number one for the long term.
What Conor Gallagher can't afford at Spurs
Conor Gallagher is another player who has done better under De Zerbi at Tottenham.

The England international's start to life in North London was underwhelming after moving from Atletico Madrid in January, creating just one big chance in the Premier League.
During pre-season, the 26-year-old - who described himself previously as an "all-rounder" - has featured heavily in various midfield roles, often leading the press from the number 10 position.
Gallagher is another player who still needs to convince fans of his quality. If he can't, De Zerbi has plenty of options in the engine room after Sandro Tonali and Mateus Fernandes ' signings.

With Dominic Solanke and Richarlison the only two natural number nines at De Zerbi's disposal, they should be looking to strengthen the area.
Omar Marmoush is being heavily linked with a move to Tottenham and can play as a centre-forward.
For now, Richarlison, who missed 10 big chances in the league last season, seems to be in line for a start against Brentford and will need to show that he can be a reliable goalscorer for Spurs.
Solanke didn't play much during pre-season due to fitness issues and the Brazilian striker will now surely have an opportunity to make an impact at the Gtech Community Stadium.
