Wallace wore a t-shirt featuring his girlfriend when he arrived at Paycom Center to face the Utah Jazz a few hours after UCLA won the national championship.
On Tuesday, the 22-year-old Wallace expressed how proud he is to see the 22-year-old Rice reach another milestone , as reported by The Oklahoman's Justin Martinez.
"That was great. It was fun just seeing her live out her dreams. She was very excited and happy," said Wallace.
"She works every day, a lot of work. She's consistent with it. For her to have those achievements, all her work is paying off this year."
Rice contributed 10 points, six rebounds, five assists, and three steals in 30 minutes in UCLA's victory over South Carolina. The Bruins won their first-ever title in the NCAA Women's Tournament.
It was the perfect way to end her career with UCLA, especially after enduring a shoulder surgery in the offseason.
