IMS set a record for the number of Indy 500 renewals this year, with Boles saying more than 260,000 seats have been reserved between the grandstands, suites and general admissions. He said the renewal rate is a "really good indicator that we should be on track for a third year in a row of selling out the grandstands for the 500."
"I think it just is an indication that our fans continue to be passionate about the entire event," Boles said of the potential of another sellout. "It's an opportunity, if you're from Indiana, to put the state on an international platform. And if you're not from Indiana and you show up here, it's because all those traditions and memories and things that it brings back – beyond the racing – that make it so special.

"So it just solidifies that this race is so much more than a race. It is just one of those iconic international sporting events that people just want to be part of."
Ticket prices will take another jump at the start of 2027, then increase again before each race day. Anyone who buys tickets before Jan. 4 will have the $5 per-ticket service fee waived. Kids 15 and under will continue to be admitted free in general admission locations to all 2027 racing events at IMS when accompanied by an adult general admission ticketholder.
"The biggest thing that we really try and do with our ticket sales is let people know – especially people that are willing to buy tickets a year out or six months out – that they don't have to worry about somewhere down the line, the Indianapolis Motor Speedway offers that same ticket for less than they could buy on the day that they buy," Boles said.
