LaMelo Ball had his best game in a Timberwolves uniform in Monday night's 112-100 win over the Bucks. Milwaukee is far from the stiffest competition in the NBA right now, but Ball proved that he can be the No. 1 option for Minnesota as Anthony Edwards continues to recover from his knee injury .
Ball finished with a season-high 34 points on 12-of-21 shooting, including 6-of-13 from three-point range. He added six rebounds and three assists, and it's very encouraging to see that he had only three turnovers despite playing a season-high 33 minutes.
Minnesota's new point guard also surpassed 1,000 made three-pointers in his 311th NBA game, making him the fastest player to reach that mark in league history.
What's even more encouraging is that Ball clicked with backcourt mate Ayo Dosunmu, who was second on the team with 19 points on 8-of-18 shooting to go along with 12 rebounds and eight assists.
"I like to play fast, and he's faster than no other. He's like a track star out there. Whenever I see him in an open lane, try and get him going," Ball told reporters after the game.
