After arriving in Minnesota following a trade with the Charlotte Hornets, LaMelo Ball is getting along with the Timberwolves quite well. Apart from his teammates, the star point guard treats everybody with respect and makes them feel seen.
He has been earning praise for how he treats people around the Timberwolves organization. A video showing the guard greeting employees by their first names has gone viral, with Barstool Sports calling him a "Real one."
The clip shows Ball walking through the team's facilities, shaking hands and exchanging greetings with employees and teammates. Despite joining Minnesota only a few months ago, he appears to know the names of people across the organization.
Last month, Timberwolves insider Jon Krawczynski highlighted the same quality while discussing his experience with Ball. After spending 10 minutes talking with the guard, Krawczynski said he found more depth to his personality than his brief media appearances might suggest.
"You can tell that he is not a flake at all. Like, there's real substance to him. There's soul to him," Krawczynski said during an interview with LitHoUsE.
He also explained how Ball makes an effort to acknowledge everyone in the building, regardless of their position.
"One thing that everyone says is he knows everyone's name in the building. I'm talking, everyone, from the janitor to the workout guy to the head of basketball operations," Krawczynski added.
Ball's teammates have also spoken positively about his personality. Jonathan Kuminga described him as someone who is always happy and brings energy to the group.
