The injury bug has bitten down on the Tennessee Titans . The team just recently endured two season injuries, as Jaren Kanak's season ended with a pec injury, and Jaylen Harrell tore his ACL. Fans started to get really worried because Mitchell Trubisky and Carnell Tate hit the injury report, too.
Trubisky is a former number two pick who is operating as the backup quarterback behind Cam Ward . He suffered a bicep injury to his throwing arm. Tate was the team's first-round pick this year, and the receiver from Ohio State took a hard hit during practice on Aug. 17.
The good news is that Paul Kuharsky reported that both players will be fine . In other injury news, running back Tony Pollard has a sore foot. The Titans signed D'Ernest Johnson to a one-year contract to add running back depth, but Kuharsky doesn't think that signals anything negative about Pollard's foot, as the starting ball carrier is returning to Wednesday's practice.

Johnson does bolster what is one of the weaker backfields in the NFL, though. The journeyman running back has over 1,000 rushing yards, 50+ catches, and 400+ yards for the five NFL teams he has played for. He can also operate as a return man, where he has over 900 career return yards.
The Titans are expecting to take strides forward this year, but that will be hard to do if they can't buck the injury bug. Luckily, some of their key contributors are returning to the field sooner rather than later.
