In a recent report , Pete O'Rourke claimed that Tottenham Hotspur are eyeing a move for Bayern Munich defender Kim Min-jae. It has been mentioned that Spurs have set their sights on the South Korea international ahead of a potential move for him next summer.
Min-jae enjoyed a good run of form at the German club in the previous campaign when he produced a string of impressive displays for them in the Bundesliga. The South Korea international netted one goal and picked up one assist in 37 appearances for the Munich giants last season in multiple competitions.
The 29-year-old is currently one of the most talented centre-backs in the Bundesliga . Hence, it is no wonder that Spurs have set their sights on him next summer.
His current contract at the Allianz Arena will run out in the summer of 2028, which could make it tough for Tottenham to land him on the cheap in 2027.

Min-jae is a good tackler of the ball and can sense the danger well to make some crucial interceptions for his side inside his half. He usually clears his lines when the opposition are on the front foot and is an accurate distributor of the ball as well.
Standing at 1.90m, the South Korean sensation can use his strong frame to win a few important 50-50 aerial duels for his team. However, there are some question marks over whether he can cope with the high intensity of the Premier League if Spurs manage to secure his services next year.
We can expect Min-jae to add more quality and depth to Tottenham head coach Roberto De Zerbi's defence. He is good enough to compete for a regular first-team place at the North London club in the coming years.
At 29, Min-jae is playing in his prime, which makes him a decent fit for Tottenham's needs in the short term. He will also help Spurs push for a top-half finish in the Premier League over the next few seasons. Hence, De Zerbi should focus on bringing Min-jae on board in 2027.
