In a recent report , journalist Graeme Bailey revealed that Tottenham Hotspur are facing stiff competition for Bayer 04 Leverkusen playmaker Ibrahim Maza. It is believed that Spurs would have to rival Paris Saint-Germain, Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City and Aston Villa in the race to land the Algerian youngster next year.
Maza has enjoyed a good run of form at the German club as he has put in a string of eye-catching displays for them in the final third. The 20-year-old has found the back of the net four times and earned three assists in 12 matches for Bayer 04 Leverkusen this season in all competitions.
The Algerian talent is currently among the most gifted playmakers in the Bundesliga. Hence, it is no wonder that Spurs have set their sights on recruiting him next year.
His current contract at the German club will run out in the summer of 2030, which could make it tough for Tottenham to land him on the cheap this January or at the end of this campaign.

Maza is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet and can make some driving runs with it out in the wide areas. He has the vision to engineer some inviting chances for his teammates in the final third and can shoot the ball with power from long range.
The Algerian talent can contribute by scoring and creating his fair share of goals up top. Maza is primarily an attacking midfielder but can also operate as a striker if needed. However, there are some concerns on whether he can cope with the physical side and high intensity of the Premier League if Spurs manage to land him next year.
We can expect Maza to add more quality and depth to Tottenham Hotspur boss Roberto De Zerbi's frontline. He has what it takes to fight for a regular first-team spot at the North London club in the coming years.
At 20, the future looks quite bright for Maza as long as he continues to improve with each season. He is undoubtedly a prospect to watch out for in the long run. All in all, Maza would be well worth the fight, so Spurs would be wise to step up their efforts to land him in 2027.
