In a recent post on X , journalist Paul O'Keefe claimed that Tottenham Hotspur have identified Villarreal forward Georges Mikautadze as a target for this summer transfer window. It is believed that Spurs are hoping to improve their attack by recruiting the Georgian striker this off-season.
Mikautadze enjoyed a good run of form at the Spanish club recently as he put in a run of impressive displays for them in the final third. The 25-year-old banged in 13 goals and grabbed six assists in 32 appearances for the Yellow Submarine last season in the league.
The Georgia international is currently one of the most talented forwards in La Liga. Hence, it is no surprise that Spurs are eyeing a move to bring him to England in this transfer period.
His current deal at Villarreal will run out in the summer of 2031, which could make it tough for Tottenham to land him on a cut-price deal this off-season.

Mikautadze can engineer some space for himself to get some strikes in at goal. He can be a streaky goal-scorer in the final third and can engineer the odd chance for others around him up top.
The Georgian sensation is also quite clever with his movements in and around the opponent's penalty area. Mikautadze has proven himself to be a reliable frontman in La Liga. However, there are some question marks over whether he can adapt to the physicality and high intensity of the Premier League if Spurs manage to get a deal done for him later this year.
We can expect Mikautadze to add more firepower to Tottenham boss Roberto De Zerbi's frontline. He has what it takes to nail down a regular first-team spot at the North London club in the coming seasons.
At 25, Mikautadze's best years are ahead of him, which makes him a decent choice for De Zerbi to pursue in this transfer window. He will also help the London giants compete across all competitions over the next few years. Thus, Spurs should focus on going all out to snap him up this summer.
