Not everyone seems to believe in former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger's case for Canton.
Former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger will be eligible for the Pro Football Hall of Fame for the first time in 2027, and while it remains to be seen if he will ultimately be a first-ballot Hall of Famer, some believe he should never earn a gold jacket at all.
Among those who believe that is former running back LeSean McCoy, who is basing his belief solely on Roethlisberger's lack of accolades.
"You should never be in the Hall of Fame if you never had no All-Pros. Think of how that sounds! All-Pro, for the guys that don't play football," McCoy said . "All-Pro is the best in the league. You feel me? But I'm being serious, how the hell he not have All-Pro? So take him off… For me, I can't push your Hall of Fame with the best players of all time if you never had an All-Pro. Think about that though. That mean you never was the best quarterback or never was the best player in your position ever."
It is very surprising that Roethlisberger never earned All-Pro recognition, but that doesn't mean he isn't deserving of being inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Roethlisberger was, without a doubt, one of the best players of his time, and there's a strong case that he's one of the best of all time.
He began his professional career as the No. 11 overall pick in the 2004 NFL Draft and spent all 18 years of his NFL career with the Steelers, during which he threw for 64,088 yards and 418 touchdowns, both of which rank top 10 all time .
He also led the Steelers to three Super Bowls, winning two (XL and XLIII), and was named the 2004 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year and to six Pro Bowls.

Roethlisberger still holds the NFL records for most career 500-yard passing games (four), completions in a game (47), wins in a season by a rookie quarterback (13) and games with a perfect passer rating (four).
Roethlisberger may not end up as a first-ballot Hall of Famer, although most believe he will be. But not ever getting in would just be wrong.
